Emergency Preparedness

Rainbow's Water System Emergency Response Plan and Risk & Resilience Assessment are unpublished documents prepared and updated to meet Oregon Health Authority and Environmental Protection Agency requirements.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has established five mission areas of emergency management: prevention, protection, mitigation, response, and recovery. Rainbow is developing an updated Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) that better aligns with our neighboring SUB and City of Springfield partners.

Rainbow also participates in the Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan, and is part of a stakeholder group exploring the 42nd Street Levee and potential impacts to Springfield's floodplain management programs.
